The DNC Responds To The Nation Article

By Adam Carter --- August 12th, 2017

An article titled "A New Report Raises Big Questions About Last Year’s DNC Hack" was published in The Nation on August 9th, 2017 and since it's publication the DNC has responded with the following statement:

“U.S. intelligence agencies have concluded the Russian government hacked the DNC in an attempt to interfere in the election. Any suggestion otherwise is false and is just another conspiracy theory like those pushed by Trump and his administration. It’s unfortunate that The Nation has decided to join the conspiracy theorists to push this narrative.”

Breaking it down:

U.S. intelligence agencies have concluded the Russian government hacked the DNC in an attempt to interfere in the election.

Members of 3 agencies hand-picked by James "Lies-To-Congress" Clapper made assessments on behalf of the agencies.

The assessments on Guccifer 2.0 were discredited approximately 45 days later.

Appeal-to-authority logical fallacies fail when the assessments being relied upon have already been discredited.

Any suggestion otherwise is false and is just another conspiracy theory like those pushed by Trump and his administration.

If you're insisting something happened but lack proof of it:

1. The burden of proof remains on you.

2. You are a conspiracy theorist.

Dragging Trump's name into this is just an effort to politicize the research.

It’s unfortunate that The Nation has decided to join the conspiracy theorists to push this narrative.

It's unfortunate that Democratic party leaders have had their fake "Russian Hacker" persona dismantled and believe that calling everyone a conspiracy theorist in the face of this is anything close to an effective solution.
